Antique DUBOIS & CASSE Brass Ships Aneroid Barometer Late 19th Century. Marked on the back "DC" with an anchor between the letters. The French Instrument makers firm of Dubois & Casse used the initials D&C and an anchor emblem in their marks. They used brass casings for their barometers. They made barometers in the Victorian period (and perhaps before then, 1800-1900 range). The silvered dial is printed in English therefore made for the English speaking market. Diameter 5" overall Bevelled Glass 4.5", 2.25" deep Great original piece. Glass intact a few dints and marks commensurate with age. Please see all photos as these form part of the description
